- Departure Time: 7:15am from Town Hall Parking Lot
- John Adams, 2nd President & co-author of the Declaration of Independence, loved Peacefields, his elegant mansion and working farm in Quincy, MA. His beloved wife, Abigail Adams, cherished their years there. The Mansion also served as the Summer White House where the entertaining of dignitaries, literary men and friends often took place.
- Today the Mansion reflects the elegant lifestyles of 4 Adams generations. Highlights include: Abigail's special White House furniture, John Quincy Adams library with 12,000 volumes, the study where John Adams corresponded with Thomas Jefferson. Our Guided Tour offers an amazing look back in time to the important early days of our infant nation...
- For lunch we head to Boston to the famous McCormick & Schmick's Restaurant. Our menu offers a choice of Clam Chowder OR Caesar Salad, Cedar Roasted Filet of Salmon Garnished with Northwest Berry Sauce, Classic Atlantic Cod Fish & Chips Beer Battered and Deep Fried, OR Breast of Chicken Sauteed in a Marsala Wine Sauce with Mushrooms. (Please make your choice at registration) For dessert we will have Chef's Decadent Chocolate Cake.
