Set out to explore Scandinavia by land and experience one of the world's most incredible regions.
Day 2: Friday, June 28, 2019
Copenhagen, Denmark - Tour Begins

Your tour opens in the beautiful city of Copenhagen. Take some time to venture out on your own and come to know this cosmopolitan capital, dubbed the "gastro capital of Scandinavia." tonight, meet your fellow travelers during a local dining experience highlighting the New Nordic Cuisine movement of Copenhagen
Day 3: Saturday, June 29, 2019

Join a local expert for an engaging city tour. See Christianborg, Denmark's center of Parliament and Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish royal family, as well as the Royal Theater. You'll also get to see the Little Mermaid Statue, a 1913 sculpture honoring Hans Christian Andersen's famous fictional character. This afternoon, enjoy some free time on your own. Perhaps you'll join us for an optional excursion to Frederiksborg Castle, the former residence of the Danish royal family, which begins with lunch at a local restaurant featuring seasonally-inspired cuisine.

  • Museums may close unexpectedly or for the observance of holidays.
  • This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs or on uneven walking surfaces should be expected.
  • A deposit of $500 per person is due upon reservation. Reservations are made on a first come, first served basis. Reservations made after the deposit due date of December 21, 2018 are based upon availability. Final payment due by April 28, 2019. Deposits are refundable up until December 28, 2018.

Day 14: Bergen - Fly to Rejkjavik, Iceland
Discover Iceland, a land and culture forged by fire and ice. Steaming lava fields reflect a volcanic nature. Massive glaciers sculpt mountains and valleys, leaving thundering waterfalls and breathtaking landscapes. Enjoy free time to explore the city's old section that features Hallgrimskirkja church, City Hall, the harbor and Reykjavik's oldest building, home of the Kraum Icelandic design center.
Day 15: Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Reykjavik
Travel the incredible Golden Circle
, a route that encompasses many of Iceland's most renowned natural wonders. Marvel at the beauty of the Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, a stunning 100-foot double cascade. Journey to Thingvellir National Park, the nations' most historic area. Her Icelanders gathered in A.D. 930 and established what is considered to be one of the world's first parliaments. Find yourself standing upon one of the globe's most geologically significant landscapes, Thingvellir's rugged rift valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the point where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Return to Rejkjavik and have time to explore the city on your own.
Day 16: Reykjavik
Enjoy a day at leisure. Perhaps you will choose to relax on a scenic whale watching cruise; venture out on a horseback riding excursion; or travel out to the Rejkjanes peninsula to spend quality time relaxing in the geo-thermal waters of the famed Blue Lagoon.
Day 17: Reykjavik - Tour ends
